Pointless Spheres From Above by pragmascript

[raw]
made by pragmascript for LD21 (-)
Hey,

first time I actually _finish_ something for Ludum Dare.

Controls:
W A S D / arrow keys - movement
left mouse button - open doors / buttons

I recommend the *web* version some changes didn't make it in the zip files in time...

Have fun :)

Doorways were little too narrow, player collider got stuck. Never saw any spheres, maybe because I didn't even get to the first sliding platform. I couldn't proceed in the game until I got too frustrated and quit the game :(

I like how nicely these simple shapes are rendered. I know that's mostly thanks to unity but I appreciate it. It made me think of The Witness for some reason. But then it turned into a 3D plattformer.

Those spinning plates really made me motion sick. I didn't know that a game could do that to me. And I could swear that there was an invisible wall when I tried to cross the finish line for the first 4 times, but I made it in the end.

Mouse sensitivity is a bit too high for my taste.

It's a nice game, you need to polish controls a bit and add some sort of story.. reminds me Portal :D

First person platform jumping is not really a good idea. It is too hard to judge where the edge of the ledge is relative to your feet. It took way too long to get over the horizontal moving platform. When I hit the spinning plates I could not bring my self to continue for fear of facing that damn platform again.

I love the lighting and can see the similarities with The Witness.

The first moving platform moves back and forth a bit fast and the movement of the spinning plates makes jumping a bit awkward, but other than that it's very enjoyable. :D

I couldnt work out how to make the first platform start up. When I looked through a window near the starting point, I saw a red switch, but couldnt work out how to turn it on. I also tried jumping onto the platform but I hit the roof before I was halfway to it and fell.

Reminds me of the ball pit at Chuck-E-Cheese's. I really liked the building architecture and the light/shadows. The spinning plates are fun, but I wasn't skilled enough to get past them and eventually gave up. :/ Really neat gameworld up until that point though! :)

The vertical lifts clipped through me and I could jump back on them :)

The rendering would be the strong point of this entry, it gave the level a sterile and unforgiving appearance (in the good way)

This is an awesome start, I'd love to see where you take this next!

Looks nice, sounds are nice, has a good atmosphere, but the spinning plates were too frustrating for me to go on :)

The movement on stairs could have been smoother, and the spinning plates were rather evil. Great job on the rest of it!

Not really a big fun of 3d platforming, but graphics were nice (tho I guess it would have looked better without textures, it felt like they repeated too much). My biggest gripe with it is the really low mouse sensitivity tho.
