IRRADIATOR by AnaglyphCoding
You are a nuclear scientist testing the properties of a new radioactive isotope name "Apothekium". When you realise that the radiation causes dangerous side effects in nearby animals, you are given the mission to remove the apothekium from every room in your lab as soon as possible!
PLEASE NOTE: I only had around 12 hours to work on this game. I only went for the Jam entry to have 2 hours extra time. The reason I had such little time is due to the fact that I have important exams coming up and I had to balance time between those and this. So, don't feel like you need to increase my score because of this as I don't expect you to, I just want you to take into consideration that this game definitely won't reach any Jam standards.
I also worked alone on this game and all assets were made by me within the 3 days.
Have fun!

I only have one complaint with this game the level ending sound is much louder than the other sound effects and caught me off guard.
Interesting idea, but the game is still "only" a platform-game with something different. I would have preferred something different that is played like a platform-game. Did I lose you?
I would have liked a more strategic aspect. Right now the game is just : rush to get the box then the Apothekium and then the exit. I would have preferred a game where you have to avoid the radiations, scare the animals so they don't get radiations, then grab the box or don't if you don't have time and prefer to use that time to distract the animals... I don't know, I felt the game could have been less main-stream.
There are some display problems when the animals have mutated (or it's normal?), but the graphics are more than okay. They are sound effects, but they are unbalanced and there is no music, so I don't really know what to say.
I hope you'll have more time for your next Jam, seeing what you did in 12h makes me expect a lot for a full 72h!
Interesting mechanic - the difficulty per level seems to be a bit haphazard maybe. An extra way to interact would have been cool. (temporary shield orsuch?)
