Loved the sinewave. Sinewaves make think of happy things (dunno why).
P.S.: Those cubes and there moving...aren't you into demoscene?
Art and audio style is crazy => well done! :D
I found it annoying to randomly press switches without knowing their effect; that's not my cup of puzzle. The sound was kinda glitchy, especially when running fast (Windows version, the web version was even worse for that). And I don't mean the glitchiness/grittyness of the tune.
The good.
The graphics were impressive and fun to just look at, down to the meter bar and the text boxes! The music is just awesome. I actually left the game running in the background so I can listen to it. A 5-6 second loop of gritty lo-fi bliss. :)
Overall: a solid game with average gameplay. As you say, Epic WIN!
Looking at your blog posts.. I think I prefer the newer style (hard to say, the other style looked neat and colourful too). Perhaps you could have used the picket fences? Paint them animated rainbow or something (not an actual suggestion, though it *would* look trippy with the sinusoidal landscape).
Very solid entry though!
I guess that the game has background music, because I see errors on console regarding MP3 issues, but I can hear a sound when grabbing an energy pill. I'll leave that rate as N/A.
