It's realy slow - I mean it's slower than a slide show - on my Core2Quad with 1GB DD3...

I like the idea tough. This could be something really entertainig if expanded a little. But seriuosly you could find better sfx. :)

I had lots of problems understanding what I was doing and what was happening (besides squishing everything) at first. After playing it a while, I was like... is this everything? So I looked back on this page and was like: oh, there's people. I think a quick info screen--[img of car] "you", [img of zombie] "squish", and [img of human] "save"--would have gone a long way. On the same note, I couldn't tell if I was getting damaged (or could be). I didn't quite figure out what the three numbers on the top left were... (lack of formatting symbols like X:XX, HP, $). Better yet, revamp the UI (maybe health bar on top of car, money/time at top/bot center of screen). And a "ahhghg" scream for the human. And the lag. Lots of small details.

Don't get me wrong, I liked it. That's why I took the time to comment on everything. With a bit of polish, I can see this being a really fun game. :)

i have thought about these, should have put the image tutorial in, that would have helped and i probably had the time too. this was my first LD48 and i guess i panicked once there was under an hour left, the improved Gui would have been implemented if i had more time, thanks for the review, i think it will help me out for the next LD48.

Not too bad - like other people, I found it slow, but the basic mechanic was fun. I'd suggest that hitting zombies slow you down and that zombies don't turn as quickly. Also, if there were humans there I'm not sure I could tell them apart - maybe they should have had hats?

Anyway, thanks for the game!

Nice flocking behaviour, did you bake your own or is it a classic algorithm?
It is the key feature of the game and partly it's biggest floor.
Like most people here I thought that everyone running towards my car was a zombie the first time I played.

If the humans and zombies behaved differently then players might have an easier time understanding the goal.

Anyway its a fun game and a good concept.
