The art was nice and I liked the dynamic music!\r<br\/>My problem isn't that the game is difficult, it's that it's unforgiving. With a mechanic that guarantees me a spiky death on most plays it's troublesome to start over from the beginning after every mistake. In most die-by-spikes games you have very fast and responsive movement, so you don't lose much time, but this game requires very slow and thoughtful movement since you spend half of it blind. It would be nice to have either a health bar or checkpoints to mitigate that. It's annoying that moving platforms never reset, so my only option is to die when I've botched one of those segments.\r<br\/>Still, an interesting game, it'd be fun to see more of it."},{"author_name":"Kelly Thomas","author_uid":"6664","time":"Dec 29, 2011 @ 4:07am","epoch":1325131320,"text":"Others have address the gameplay, i'll focus on the interface.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>I liked the scaling options, but found the menu text to be clipped.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>I also feel a quit key is in order, I feel that if I need to end task then the developer missed an important feature."},{"author_name":"binary_girl","author_uid":"8824","time":"Dec 31, 2011 @ 4:03pm","epoch":1325347080,"text":"i agree with most.. love the idea..bit too difficult.. menu was clipped and had to end task.. really good otherwise :)"},{"author_name":"zairon","author_uid":"7213","time":"Jan 5, 2012 @ 1:31am","epoch":1325726760,"text":"I don't mind the platforms disappearing when you enter subspace, but it is unfair moving the background once you do jump. If you kept the playfield static while jumping, then I think I would have a chance to hit my jump target. In the beginning the invisible platforms made even simple jumps hard, but after a couple of minutes of practice it became a lot easier. The harder difficulty kind of forces you to do a speed run of the levels (to avoid getting killed by the bees), which was kind of fun as well."},{"author_name":"Vilborg","author_uid":"4884","time":"Jan 7, 2012 @ 9:02pm","epoch":1325969820,"text":"Very innovative concept, but I'm going to have to agree with KevinZuhn that the execution could use more polish."}],"images":["ld22\/7988-b45325b819f0d7898cd534c0bc605ec5.jpg","ld22\/7988-83797f6ff3ccd7e5fe8047d7d0503443.jpg"],"links":[{"url":"http:\/\/gamejolt.com\/freeware\/games\/jump-alone\/files\/jump-alone\/download\/6816\/8785\/","text":"Windows"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"32241","g_author":"7988","g_event":"LD22","g_eventkey":"8","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"32271","g_title":"Jump Alone","g_status":"UCHK1","g_place":"28","g_commentcount":"11","g_site2_node_id":"0","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":[],"node":null,"orig_images":["http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/87574\/7988-shot0.png-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/87574\/7988-shot1.png-eq-900-500.jpg"],"text":"\"When I think of term \"alone,\" I think of the\r\nblessing and curse of the human condition.
