Rocket Man Stan by JoeCool17
So, fine gentlemen, gentlewomen, and gentlealiens, I present to you Rocket Man Stan!
Set in the early 70s, follow our intrepid hero, Stan, as he fights his way off of a Soviet-invaded moon after a covert USAF mission goes awry on the dark side of the moon! Get him to safety by destroying all the Soviet robots Goomba-style so that he can radio for help!
Some back story:
This was GOING to be an LD48 entry, but due to a last minute(literally) happening coming up, I was not able to submit, so I took the extra day and polished it up some. Later I'll make this into a full-blown game, for Eggplant Animation(eggplantanimation.com). This is my second LD, first one alone, and I think I did pretty well, considering what I learned over the course of 48 hours and what I couldn't do just last summer. Uses Flash and Flixel, with FlashDevelop and DAME to help. I plan to release the source sometime in the next month.
Controls:
Left/Right to move, Space to jump. Kill those robots, 9 in all, by jumping on top of them ("goomba-style"). The health bar is in the upper-left corner, with the number of lives left next to it.

I don't know if it is mandatory for jam entries, but you should add your source as it is a given for the LD48 for others to look over and/or learn from your code. Also, there are people around here who directly give straight 1's if there's no source

@pythong: I'm just too lazy to upload the source now, maybe in the coming week I'll upload it to GitHub. It's not a requirement for the Jam.

It is a platform game; not much to say. I miss some background music to give the proper mood to the game.

Yeah, I just didn't have the time I thought I would to get that in. Definitely an addition for when I make it into a full game.
