The Lonesome Pixel by Aslai
Controls:
Arrow keys: Movement / Jump
R: Restart level
Escape: Quit game
You are the red pixel.
Feel free to make your own levels; they're just plain old 24 bit bitmaps.
Note: Some users have experienced some difficulties on the bridge level. If you feel that it is too difficult, then replace /resc/maps/main3.bmp with http://whff.tk/download.php?file=3vmi1r5grk
If you are in game, pressing 'R' will reload the map entirely. There's no need to restart.
Update: My friend who is starting in C wanted to write a platformer using the Windows terminal for I/O. Just for kicks I ported it to use the console. The link has been added. (Note, I didn't bother porting over the splash screens, and the controls are ever so slightly more sticky. Don't complain about these things if this is the version that you play!)
Another update: I got a Wii for Christmas and it hasn't taken me long to figure out how to write code for it. I decided to port this over. To run it, you'll need the Homebrew Channel. Enjoy :)

If you still can't beat it, then just modify the level in paint ;)

As a drastic measure, you can also press the '0' (Zero) key to advance a level.
I feel like the jumping wouldn't be quite so bad if it used a non-arrow key button and had slightly more hang time to make your move... Other than that, excellent work - you should be proud.
