The Rescue by JoeDev_net
The Rescue is basic story driven platformer. I experimented with a couple things to see if they would create a good mood and I feel like they did. I use a color palette of white, grays, and black. I also worked with a tilesize of 8x8. Those two things ended up working nicely together.
I don't really want to give anything away about the actual game, so you will just have to download it.
Made in XNA, so it is currently Windows only, although I am working on porting to other systems using MonoGame.
Controls

I'm getting into XNA myself and I 'm sure I'll find the source code helpful
btw. I noticed some white lines come up when jumping, is it usual for XNA to have glitches like that?
sry for being picky grats for the game again ;)

It seems a few people get them, but I don't think it is very common. I think it is more of a video driver issue. (Perhaps updating drivers will fix it).
