TransDimensional Moon Rift by Shigor
Transdimensional Moon Rift
UPDATE
I've added postcompo extended version (web and Windows) - it has quicksave/quickload and a bunch of small bugfixes. You probably know that, but for rating you should try original web version.
UPDATE 2
Although it's not requirement for jam entry, I've put sources on my overfilled dropbox - feel free to do whatever you want with it, but be warned, I guess at least 50% of code is hardcoded ugly looking and barely working mess.
Old Dungeon Master style RPG with pirates, ninjas, undeads, kittens and some insanity thrown in the pot.
You wanted to be alone with your zombie kittens, but oh no, not even on the moon you can find solitude. Some rotten (meaning literally) pirates ninja looted your bag of adorable zombie kittens! Can you beat them with their own weapons and ninja loot your kittens back?
Menu button opens menu with some help (and possibility to set fullscreen on). Otherwise use WASD (and Q and E to turn) and mouse and your brains. (Right mouse + dragging turns the view).
Made in Unity (sorry, HC linux guys) in about 40 hours all from scratch by me (didn't make it in time for compo, but it's much better game thanks to one day delay). Just about one meg file with all the "art" and "sounds".
Based on playtesting on my witch it takes about 30 minutes to finish the game. (It's a bit unbalanced, but I just ran out of time)

The sounds are crazy. The art is the product of a mad man ;). I bet that you had loads of fun making this game!
To make it even more crazy I would use some trippin' rainbow colours, ^^ but I remember playing your "Escape" game so I feel it's a matter of personal style!
Congratulations!
Great entry.
Otherwise the art is pretty good, the humor draws people in, and the gameplay is easy to get used to (although its a little hard).
No source?
DevMax: sources are not required for jams, but I put it up for you anyway.
Of course, 5 stars in community for rating tons of game.
- When I fired your game, I was like "wtf is this noise?"
- 5 minutes later I was finding the voice over a bit funny
- After 10 minutes of playing, I was muttering "I want my kittens back" and "more brains!" to myself.
I think we can call this success!
(Oh, some of the items would end up "under" the screen when I was in the same tile as them, and I couldn't pick them up)
Were you inspired by "Legend of Grimrock" ? :D
Thank you for game :)
As for the inspiration... nah, I've noticed LoG (and I'm looking forward to it), but it was more like... "what kind of a game I could make I hadn't done already and always wanted to do?"
I found it pretty easy to die, you really had to eat/drink quite often to get your health back. Then when you ran out, it became hard.
I also found it very difficult to pick up certain items on the floor. When you had to click the items on screen, they often overlapped UI or it was near impossible to see certain items if you were on the tile next to them (such as rum sometimes), instead I think it would be better to just have a button to collect the item on the tile infront of you (or from the tile you're standing on).
Overall, awesome game! :D
The inclusion of mouselook was very unclear, so it was annoying trying to pick up items. I didn't read the help until after getting stuck in the first room because I didn't notice the button, and even when I did read the help I did not pick up on the mouselook thing. Also, opening the menu to look for a help screen is not something I typically do when I start a game.
The sounds got a little grating after a while.
Good job overall, fairly solid game.
