Theres a download link on the play page now. it should Run anywhere as long as you have a web browser and desktop java.

Would be cool if -- for instance -- you could just drag across two adjacent cats to have them disappear, instead of clicking each one individually. Nice concept; are there any algorithms to guarantee that each level is "solve-able," or is it completely random? (Also: kittens!)

I do agree, it should be a lil easier to mass click. The game reminds me of that one peg game, where you move one at a time. Not a bad thing. http://www.home.hs-karlsruhe.de/~pach0003/informatik_1/aufgaben/solitaer.jpg Maybe make a mode like this? Would be cool. =)

@newton64: Levels are completely random, and there's an algorithm to check if there are any possible moves left, though it needs a small tweak to fix it. I could make it so that when you let go of the mouse button it runs the same script as when you pressed the mouse.

@Mysticales: I remember playing that game on my old phone. I probably won't add it as a game mode, but instead I'll make another game as I'm queuing up a heap of games to make during the dead time at work over Christmas.

Suggestion: Its small, but would be very heart warming. Every level you win, do a short picture of 2 cats happy together in diff poses. Somehow.. I think that would be all anyone needs to put a smile on their face every round. =)

Drat. That would be a great idea. Would take virtually no time to implement as well. To bad it'd be a major change, so I can't do it right now.

Do it soon, just cause contest is over, doesnt mean that you need to stop working on the game. =) And would it BE that much a change? Id think its just insert code to goto the new picture real quick, then return to the next level code?

It'd just be adding 10 images, and 10 lines of code, while modifying 3. I'm asking @ludumdare on twitter.

OH GOD IF EVER SAW A PILE OF CATS LIKE THAT... I WOULD RUN, NOT PAIR THEM UP. Keep working on this. Needs some rad artwork and sounds/music. Also, the premise is a bit simple. Is there anything you can add that would increase the strategy/challenge?

I would have added artwork/sound, but I was running low on time. Also the game idea is simple because I was working from the ground up in a completely new language. I don't have any ideas that would make it more challenging other than adding a timer, which I plan on doing after judging is finished.

I must have downloaded 3 portable versions while clicking the bottom row.

For a 1st-time no experience kind of deal, this was a pretty good effort. I love making kitties disappear, for sure.

Well at least you can play from wherever now :P

Thanks for that. I wish I could make kittens reappear, I don't have any :(

A very good first effort. The little story elements in-between levels were very cool. I wasn't sure what it took to get to the next level, though.
