Nightmares of a Wizard by TeamEpsilon
Nightmares of a wizard was produced by three people, two of which got about 14 hours of sleep, consumed apporximately three pounds of food, ingested a box of ice tea, attended the washroom approximately twice and spent about 58 hours spriting/coding/ROFLing... (not kidding about the acronym there) ...at their work.
NOTE: Make sure you walk up to the writing desks in each level to find out more about the story behind the game! The second desk in the dining room is bugged, however, will be fixed soon!
The uncompressed folder is exactly 200mb but it's worth it so be patient!

I had a lot of fun, which is kinda important for a game, so good work guys. :D
BTW... why 200 megs? did you use gigantic bitmaps as your levels? :)
1) The Graphics (because it is caothic)
2) The interface (it could be better, honestly. A map wouldn't be bad)
3) The balancement (the character feels too slow)
Level design definitely could have been better, but it took far to long to make the second level (the only non-linear level) and in the interest of time we simply changed up the classic hallway with different enemies and obstacles for the following levels.
A post-ludum jam version of the game will be made available soon with randomized item drops and a few bug fixes.
Once again, thanks for all the great feedback!
The game play is solid and well done, although the player moves rather slow for my tastes.
I also wish that I could switch between spells with numbers instead of letters; somehow I am better remembering what 1 2 3 4 means if they are in the same order on the screen.
At first I didn't see that some monsters are immune to some spells; I was attacking the red squared with fire while wondering when they would die! I am not very bright, you see.
The theme is a bit of a stretch, but I guess it is a difficult theme to use effectively.
There was one glitch I found. I was on the second red-carpet area, viewing the second scroll, and I clicked or pressed a button while reading the scroll and it returned to the top-down state, but with a big area covered in white: http://imgur.com/bDG5u I could still move underneath it and such. It just covered that one area.
