by Gavin Pugh (Drebin on WordPress).
Tools:
- 'Engine' is Unity. Used Visual Studio 2010 to edit the C# code.
- Art in Paint Shop Pro 7
- Sfx generated from the 'Bfxr' website
- Music generated by 'cgMusic'. Then midi to mp3 via http://solmire.com/
Summary:
A turn-based tactical RPG. In a similar vein to the "Shining Force" series of games. Unlike those however, "Adventures of One" consists of just a single member of the heroic force. This lone adventurer has to wipe out a series of battlegrounds of it's demonic spawn. Progressing through each battle unlocks harder enemies, more equipment in the shop, and fancy magic spells.
The terrain layout, and placement of enemies are procedurally generated.
"Adventures of One" has a guest voice-over provided by "The Room"'s Juliette Danielle.

Your textures would look a lot better if you set them to point/clamp. Bilinear filtering makes them look blurry.
also, when you add a voiceover by a different person to your game, i think you're disqualifying yourself for the 48hour compo. two persons -> jam entry.
The voiceover stuff is fine, it's noted in the 'special competition exemptions':
"Photos and recordings you make of people or things are acceptable content, just you must acquire them during the competition."
Thanks for playing, everyone!
