Where you by a chance watching Notch's livestream? Yours and his trees are so alike :D
This game looks really nice - haven't tried it yet, will do that abit later ;)

TheNamelssOne: I did check in on Notch's livestream, so that might not be a coincidence. It certainly wasn't on purpose though.

Atomic: Borders of the in-game world or just borders of the window? What system are you running?

It flickers between the white border and the black one really fast:

I'm on Windows 7 x64.

Atomic: Thanks a lot for letting me know! I fixed the problem and have updated the jar file. I consider this porting it, so it should be an acceptable update.

Great little game, very polished (love the death effect); bit on the grindy side though - lot of work for meagre rewards...

With some audio and a few tweaks, this wouldn't feel like a 48 hour game at all. Very polished!

I could never really get into the more grindy arpg genre games, but the polish alone made it pretty enjoyable. Kinda of got bored though after I got to the point of farming big slimes for a diamond weapon, and it felt like I was in a repetitive process of take damage, kill, until I needed sleep breaks :(

Fantastic work with how cleaned up you made the game. Bonus points on the death effect.

A graphically attractive game. Audio would have greatly improved it, even just simple tone sounds. It was a bit tiresome having to kill about a thousand of those blue things to get a diamond weapon (mace?). But the game is very impressive for 48 hours, very well done!
