"You are the Lighthouse at Styx River, your job is to persecute souls trying to escape hell, it can get lonely, but jumping on ghosts sure is fun and it's pretty comfy."

The Idea is to bounce on top of ghosts so the lighthouse (you) does not sink on the flames of hell.

Click/Tap to make the lighthouse move towards that direction.

Holy cow, the art here is astounding. Loading this page, I thought, "There's no way that's a screenshot," and then it WAS. It's an incredibly entertaining feel, very well executed.

Unfortunately, the gameplay doesn't hold up. The lighthouse moves around, and I can make it go left or right, but nothing it does looks at all like "falling" or "bouncing."
It only seems to move up or down arbitrarily and jerkily, hitting the ghosts yields no discernible correlation. At one point, I just stopped clicking altogether, and it didn't seem to result in me losing. Not that I could tell, anyway. The lighthouse kept moving around randomly.

I gotta give you high marks anyway, because I'm so impressed with the general feel of the thing.

Plus points for art style and mood. But as a game it leaves a lot to improvement.

Nice graphical setup. Game-idea is good too, but it was difficult figuring out the rules.

the game is trivially easy, but at least it looks cool. i was hoping for a card game after seeing the picture. :p

Thanks for the feedback!

I'm aware that I dropped the ball on gameplay, currently I'm writting a post mortem where I'll review those points and options I have for the post-compo version.

Yeah I was totally expecting a card game. Those poor little ghosts just don't have the detail of the lighthouse. Maybe that's why the lighthouse wants them dead... again?

Excellent graphics! The post-compo version doesn't start at all for me in any browser.

Sorry @Tom 7, I have not worked on the post compo version at all, pretty swamped with work at the moment :-p

Art and sound was great. Never could quite figure out what was going on with the controls though... no matter where I hot the ghosts, didn't feel very bouncy.
