Well done man, given the timespan and what you achieved, I'm rather impressed.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>In-Air jumping added a nice mechanic to the game and added the most fun factor to it.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>The theme obviously fits rather well and taking into account what you had to work with, the graphics work well.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>The music was a tiny bit too much and could be changed a little bit, keeping less in more in mind. Of course it very closely resembles music of that time but I think the general feel of the game could be brought across better with slightly different music.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>The last screen made me laugh so have some +Humour for that!\r<br\/>\r<br\/>Overall, enjoyable albeit short."},{"author_name":"defiantburrito","author_uid":"7829","time":"Dec 19, 2011 @ 8:22am","epoch":1324282620,"text":"Well, it's impressive that you did this at all!\r<br\/>\r<br\/>I'm not sure what else to say, though. This is my game for Ludum Dare #22, \"Cave Wanderer\".\r\nIt's for the Sega Master System.\r\n\r\nThe file you want to run is ld22-gm.sms.\r\n\r\nFeed that into an emulator. Here's two recommendations.\r\n\r\nThe best one for accuracy is probably Kega Fusion:\r\n  http:\/\/www.eidolons-inn.net\/tiki-index.php?page=Kega\r\nAlthough I quite like Mednafen, and it's plenty accurate enough:\r\n  http:\/\/mednafen.sourceforge.net\/\r\n\r\nThere is no defined plot. Invent one yourself to explain the aloneness.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nOh yeah, compilation \/ assembly instructions.\r\n\r\nYou will need WLA-DX (possibly built with a maximum string length > 64) to build the .z80 source code.\r\nYou will need Python 2.x to build the music.\r\nIt would help if you had GNU Make or something like that.\r\nFinally, if you wish to modify the .it files, you will need SchismTracker. I don't have the .it file for one of them.\r\n\r\nOf course, if you're just wanting to play this game, open up ld22-gm.sms in an emulator.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nIf you have any questions, read the README.txt file included before asking me.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nUPDATE!\r\n3 days after the 48 hours ended, I ported it to the Sega Mega Drive! (albeit with one glaring bug)\r\nThat port can be downloaded here: http:\/\/gm.64pixels.org\/stuff\/ld22\/cave_wanderer_smdport_beta1.zip\r\nPlease don't use that version for judging.<\/p>","title":"Cave Wanderer"}
