RobotJet by janiq
GAMEPLAY:
The goal in the game is to help the robot help recharge energy by allowing it to collect every battery found in the level.
Player does not control the robot directly, instead he controls the enviroment by building walls and shapeshifting facilities.
Robot always goes by itself:
- when wall is hit, robot will turn around.
- when shapeshifting facility is hit, robot turn into jet or if in jet mode, it will turn into robot.
- while in jet mode robot is flying up instead of falling down - gravity is reversed.
- while in robot mode, it will fall down when possible - gravity is normal.
CONTROLS:
Whole game is controlled by mouse.
Build everything by left-click.
Clicking on empty field will build wall.
Click on wall will build shapeshifting facility.
Click on shapeshifting facility will destroy it and produce an empty field.
Right-click is shortcut to destroy whatever is on the field.
Green fields are part of the enviroment and cannot be built over nor destroyed.

TECHNICAL DETAILS:
Love2D (0.10.1) game engine was used to build the game with Zerobrane Studio as IDE.
Piskel graphic editor was used to create sprites and tiles.
Inkscape was used to create bigger screens.
Levels were created using Tiled mapeditor.
Game contain no sound currently. This is something I have no experience with and have to work on this for the future jams.

You should make smaller levels, so the player could receive satisfaction for beating it sooner. :)

Needs simpler levels. A pretty solid entry otherwise.

Would have been nice if you could place a transformation machine on the robot. Other then that nice little puzzle game.

Pretty cool idea. it's tricky to understand at first, but it's fun to create systems for the bot. As others have said, smaller levels would be better.

Great mechanics, but you need polish it a little bit. Add music, SFC, better graphics and animations, and this will be a great game

The idea behind the game was great! I really liked the idea that you could lead the robot by placing obstacles. I do have to say the first level was very daunting after the tutorial. But still, very nice concept! Nice entry. :)
