Lewis the Pixel by Naarkie
This is a minimalistic roguelike I made for Ludum Dare #23. The theme was Tiny World, and I couldnt think of any ideas so I made a literally small roguelike. I lost ~12 hours of time, and was slightly depressed and demotivated around the time of the event. I feel I didnt do too well, and as a result the game is pretty sucky. I did learn a bit about loading levels from images, however.
And no, I spent only about an hour on the intro :P
.....
Er...it's asking me to get a better graphics card..for a ROGUELIKE?!
Sorry, but it doesn't work on my computer.
Like you said, it definitely needs some work, but I enjoyed the simplistic level design.
Even though I can't play the game, I got a lot of laughs out of the readme and listening to the intro sounds, so I'm giving you +5 for humor :).
MadGnomeGamer: Your graphics card needs to support some pixel shader thing for any XNA game, iirc you can disable pixel shader somehow but I can't remember how.
