Experience the wonder of Adam the ant! At least, imagine the wonder that you would be experiencing if I had time to do any gameplay.

For me, this was a huge learning experience, making a 2D XNA engine from scratch in the 27 hours that I worked on this over the weekend. Even though the 'game' itself sucks, I'd love to hear any comments or suggestions on the source code itself, especially its structure. For LD24, I'll have the engine completely finished and ready to create something awesome!

The included file (.ccgame) works if you have the required dependency installed (XNA 4.0) like it originally said in the description.

I've changed the uploaded file to an executable, but you'll *still* need to install the runtime that's linked in the description.

A good start to your game jam career. Using a third party tilemap app for levels is a good time-saving idea, and you now have the basics for creating a 2D game. Looking forward to see how you progress for the next ludum dare. Keep it up!

can't test, requires XNA4 which does not run on linux under WINE

Congrats on making a first step into gamedev! The game runs well here, I'm guessing you can spend more time on more levels and an end-goal for a next game now that you have some framework for programming. Hopefully 'till next ludum ;)
