Unfortunately it crashes while doing the procedural generation. Tried with openGL and directX.

yes I found out that it crashes occasionally on start up. Have you tried running two or three times in a row? This worked for others.

What does Ogre.log say?

Graphics looks great.

Is it always raining? I get angled streaks thru all the gfx. The music is great. The controls are a little strange but seems alright. I cranked speed up very high and got a seizure inducing strobe of the pink and green planets :) Not sure what I'm supposed to be doing in the game though? Also Ogre picked a bad resolution for fullscreen mode as default and garbled the gfx. I restarted it and selected a resolution my card & monitor supported.

Don't really get what the point is, you fly around shooting at an angle you can't aim with. Didn't see the point in the generation at the start either.
