Tooth Fairy Fun Time by tr33top

made by tr33top for LD23 (COMPO)
As the tooth fairy it is your job to collect teeth and bring them to your home base. Each place in the world is in a different time zone. Be careful not to stay out after the sun rises!

This HTML5/JavaScript game was made in about 6 hours of work with library code from the Video Game Development Club at the University of Minnesota. I would have liked to spend more time on it but there were other things going on during the weekend. The novelty wears off fast and I would have liked to add an additional game play component or two. I only tested it in Chrome. Music is made up of Garageband loops.

I couldn't get it to run in Firefox (the fairy would just disappear as soon as you clicked anything), but it works in chrome.

Collision detection is a bit tricky - even brushing the corner of a sunny area will kill you. The concept is good though and I like that you can only carry so many teeth at a time.

For being just GarageBand loops, the music is pretty nice.

audio didnt work in opera. the game is okay, sometimes you collide into the squares a little unfairly i feel. you have to click rapidly around them or click at very precise angles. all in all though, good job.

Creative idea. I think the fact that hitting even a corner of a world in sunlight on your way to another world kills you means that keyboard controls would be preferable to mouse. Not bad!

The idea is nice, but I didn't really get what was going on when I couldn't collect teeth.

Nice idea. It took me a bit to realize you could travel anywhere you wanted instead of just the windows and your home base.

This seems like a fun idea, but I didn't really know what was going on after I figured out I could click to fly around. A little tutorial, even if it's just a written paragraph, would have gone a long way to clear up whatever people are missing.
