made by GameNacho for LD23 (COMPO)
This is my Second Ludum Dare entry, and I had a lot of fun with it! So without further ado here's my game overview:

A 2D puzzle-platformer in which you use the shrink-o-matic 9000 to shrink objects to overcome obstacles!

Let me know what you think!

Update! - You can now use arrow keys to move and space-bar to shoot!

Update #2! - Fixed the jumping bug!

Its ok, but seems a bit lacking in terms of gameplay hook and pacing.

I think the main idea, but would have liked to see it involved in more of the levels. I also had a problem where pressing W didn't always cause a jump to occur.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I updated my game so you can now use arrow keys to more and space bar to shoot. I'm not sure why I didn't include those controls, guess I was in a rush :) haha

@SidetrackGames Thanks for the feedback, I guess it does but in the limited time allotted good pacing of the levels was kind of hard to do...

@Shackelford Thanks, yeah it was a little difficult finding ways I could use a shrinking object in the levels

@Cell Thanks, I really like that game! Maybe some of my love for that game poured into the style of this game ;)

@sharbelfs Thanks! Don't worry I fixed the controls!

I think the controls are still a bit awkward... I couldn't jump if I was already moving sideways and also sometimes when I died a message flashed up but it instantly vanished because I was still pressing keys to control the character from a split-second before and this cancelled the message before I read it (I think a specific key should be used to clear down messages; one which isn't used for other controls). It's otherwise a good platformer. Well done :) A bit of audio would have been nice, and like Shackelford said, it would have been nice to see lots more use of the shrink ray... it doesn't even feature in about half of the levels which is a shame when it's the only thing in game representing the theme 'Tiny World'

@cakemonitor Thanks for the feedback! I fixed the jumping bug (or at least from my tests it seems to be fixed) :). Yeah sadly I didn't get around to doing audio this time, and yeah I agree I should've found more use for the shrink ray.

@chinchang Thanks, I appreciate the feedback!

A promising concept; more classic platform controls - inertia etc - would be great.

I liked the initial levels were so basic that they really introduced the concept; but then suddenly the hardness got turned on full and I found myself restarting levels all a gazillion times.

its a bit lacking in actual use of the shrink ray, and the physics are a bit wonky, but i do see effort in this.
