KNOWN BUGS/ISSUES/EXTRA COMMENTS:
* On the first area, to avoid the "no space" message, try building the checkpoint between the spaceship and the flag. Or around the flag. On the other areas, avoid the limits.
* On CHROME you will suffer SLOWDOWNS or LONG LOADING TIMES. If you wish (or can), try another browser and let us know how that worked.
* You can EMOTE with your own buildings. We also recommend building the Driller as soon as you can.
* We are currently working to make this a BIG full gaming experience but we will show it some time AFTER the Ludum Dare. Because work and life, you know.

We're an HTML5 indie game studio in Buenos Aires, Argentina! And we are really happy of being able to submit our 72 hs. work, so you can try it, play it and hopefully enjoy it!
We tried our best to develop multiple concepts of the words "Tiny World" in our videogame. I mean, is it a tiny world because of the size of the characters? Is the "Tiny World" the bond between two human beings? Or just because the Moon is tinier than the Earth? Well, it's up to you to think about that. As well as it's up to you to explore this ideas, it's up to you to explore this weird Moon. To do so, you can use:
W, A, S, D keys (or the ones with the arrows) and MOUSE.
But watch out. You won't have time to think when creatures attack you. You must go with ease, building checkpoints so you don't get lost!
FEATURES
* Exploring oriented gameplay with a mix of platform, turn based combat and strategy
* Web browser game! No need to install anything!
* Saves your progress locally!
* Multiple endings!
* Express a lot of feelings and interact with objects with the EMOTE action!
* Science Fiction references!
* Awesome pixelart graphics!
* Original music score! Chilling ambient with a Space mood while you explore this mysterious Moon.

Whatever, thats a great game.
Your comment makes us totally glad! Thanks so much!
And someone wrote something about music and sound - I did not heard anything.
Kind of annoying that I was trying to save up rocks to build the other buildings but kept having to spend them all on killing monsters and checkpoints. I ended up walking back though all the screens to build up enough to build the driller.
Really nicely polished and good stuff. Loved the faces in background.
Dying was handled exceptionally with a good balance of penalty/convenience.
@daredevildave Thank you Dave! Yeah, game needs more balance. We had to think of a fast way of getting the player to BUILD things, and that those things you build make sense and be useful.
@Gabriel Thanks! We will continue this work, we falled in love with it! 隆Abrazos!
@derrickdool LOL thanks Derrick, we have to say that, that was pretty much pure luck, I don't think we even thought about that. Glad you feel it that way! ^__^
Only problems really are, how frustrating and difficult attacking the bugs is, and the load time between areas.
But really, great job guys!
It ended on an intriguing cliffhanger, I'd like to see what happens next! I'd agree that it was a bit grindy. I suppose the grind is a necessary bottleneck to keep the tension high, though.
I found myself worried about the companion back at the ship and making frequent return trips to emote at him (or her). I feared that perhaps if you neglected them there would be a bad ending in which you were left alone.
Really enjoyed it, I think it was a great experience over-all! Creepy background imagery too (the cave with the rock blocking it really confused me and piqued my interest).
- The story is very interesting.
- If players are dying too often maybe something could be improved in level design or buildings should give more emotion.
At some moment I couldn't build a drill, there was plenty of space but it said it didn't.
I got 3 different finals :D
In the post-compo version you should consider having a menu screen showing the unlocked alternative finals.
Good job :)
Though the pacing was a little slow it felt appropriate and made for a fitting mood. The mechanics too, like establishing checkpoints each time you venture a little farther into unknown territory, and the loneliness meter, all reinforced the theme too, which was really pleasing to see.
Admittedly, I was a little confused at first. I didn't know you could emote in buildings, and thought I either had to go all the way back to the beginning, or keep going right in the hope of meeting another astronaut. This should probably be made clearer in the instructions.
Going back and forth between the same areas could be made more interesting. Maybe the occasional detour, area off the beaten path, or secret that only appears once a certain amount of progress has made would be an idea?
We are already working in a serious update with all the noted issues. The lack of time made us unaware of many silly mistakes (The "No space" limitation, the mid-air transition to levels, debugging for Chrome -were most of the bugs and slowdowns happen-). And of course, tune and improve the turn based combat, a lot (and overall gameplay too).
It will be a BIG game, at least, that's our idea and ambition. So I hope that you can check "ONLY US" on Facebook to follow the further development https://www.facebook.com/OnlyUsApp :)
The overall idea it's better explained at our postmortem post: Crater doors, which would act like a dungeon zone with a more platform/action oriented gameplay. More enemies, puzzles, exploring the WHOLE moon (probably include teleporters or detours, as "ilo" remarks), a story that actually develops further and makes more sense. Things you can emote and befriend with (probably enemies that won鈥檛 attack you and you can even pet?) Somehow fix the ship and conquer the universe in a multiplayer massive online pixelarted mayhem!?
Anyway, we falled in love with the project so it's our priority right now :) Thanks so much to everyone so far, this means a LOT to us. Like, really A LOT.
What's behind the [censored]? What's the deal with the [censored]? And did my partner just totally [censored] my [censored]? I'll have to wait for the next episode!
How much room do you need to build a driller!?
I quit because I didn't have the nerve to go back, find rocks, and waste most of those on enemies I pretty much fought before.
What fascinated me was that my game (Gale Axile) has nearly the same setting - a lone guy [probably] in a space suit exploring, picking up resources, building, trying to survive - yet everything is different. On the first glance, your graphics are much better ;) But also, yours is so emotional and easy to pick up, while mine is complex and heartless lol
To put it in a nutshell, your game is interesting and made me think. Outstanding.
It's a hell of a compliment that it reminded you to the Fallout series! ^___^
Yes, the respawning enemies are really a pain in the butt after a while. The idea is to keep development, so in a future update, when you "conquer" an area with a checkpoint, the enemies no longer appear.
We'll be sure to play your submission later on! We played a couple of games that kind of had the same idea or concept of loneliness/space/depressing mood. It IS pretty curious, right?
Great on the intro too--that always counts :)
The emoting thing felt tacked on since you can emote with buildings... it's basically just another thing you have to remember to do, but there's no new difficulty associated with it. I wish I had a food building too.
Good, cute game.
Loading times where a little bit long, I first thought it crashed. Love it. Simon
Please do something for the loading duration
Really nice work dudes ! You can be proud of it :)
I was never able to build the driller. Even in a wide-open screen, it told me there wasn't enough space.
When I was finally able to build the health tent, that solved my loneliness problems. Emoting at the checkpoints only recovered loneliness a hair at a time. I'm really glad you restarted near where you died, keeping your rocks.
I liked the videogame ending. =)
