Second game this compo that I've had that problem with. The graphics were also very nice, and the sound seemed to fit it well - though the voice overs, while initially cool, got old too quickly when I was just constantly dying.\r<br\/>The killer for me was that there didn't seem to be any way out of the first section.  No matter which way I moved, the scientist always died within about five seconds or so.  Maybe he was growing faster than he should've been on my machine for some reason?  I don't know. Cleaning up the collision might solve this. In games like this it's usually best to undersize your collision rects and be a bit forgiving where possible. Obviously that can cause other problems with pushes and the like so sometimes it's good to have multiple collision shapes depending on what you're colliding against.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>I've got a quick post on using Reach in XNA here: http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/2011\/08\/19\/xna-users-increase-compatibility-with-reach\/\r<br\/>\r<br\/>As others have mentioned, you should always build XNA games with the Reach profile where possible."}],"images":["ld23\/5988-2a600a44e26f82d32f18791973db67b7.jpg","ld23\/5988-24a6ffc9f960cb68bc3d10e2acfcc279.jpg","ld23\/5988-0acc00a9dbfac01585a51dbe5d066adf.jpg"],"links":[{"url":"http:\/\/gda.ou.edu\/LudumDare\/23\/Science101_TheSewerChronicles_Distributable.zip","text":"Windows"},{"url":"http:\/\/gda.ou.edu\/LudumDare\/23\/Science101_TheSewerChronicles_Source.zip","text":"Source"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"30914","g_author":"5988","g_event":"LD23","g_eventkey":"10","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"30944","g_title":"Science 101 - The Sewer Chronicles","g_status":"UCHK1","g_place":"106","g_commentcount":"21","g_site2_node_id":"0","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":[],"node":null,"orig_images":["http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/123793\/5988-shot0.png-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/123793\/5988-shot1.png-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/123793\/5988-shot2.png-eq-900-500.jpg"],"text":"\tSadistic science professor R. E. Searcher, Ph. D., has met with an unfortunate incident that not even tenure can alleviate. In between kidnapping and \"instructing\" this year's batch of ill-fated freshman, Professor Searcher has somehow managed to turn his most recent instrument of torture- his shrink ray- against himself. \r\n\r\n\tHaving shrunk to the size of a lima bean and fallen through the drain in his classroom's much-used emergency eye wash station, Professor Searcher must now navigate the sewer tunnels and collect beakers of chemical energy before the effects of the shrink ray wear off and he becomes crushed to death in the tiny world within the sewer pipes. \r\n\r\n\tWelcome to Science 101: The Sewer Chronicles, where exams are cumulative and there is no extra credit.\r\n<\/p>","title":"Science 101 - The Sewer Chronicles"}
