Ayond by Mechanical Birdie

made by Mechanical Birdie for LD23 (JAM)
For seven days, the world only lives around you...

It's our very first LD Jam.
We were not able to do whatever we wanted and many things are still missing, but the game is playable.

Missing: the percentage of space preserved indicating the goal of the game. Your still got the map for that.

We tried to examine the theme as much as possible.
Hoping you'll enjoy our interpretation.

Nice work one the colors! It's quite moody, and I like the white-effect. ...that being said, what am I actually doing? Is only moving backwards a feaure or a bug?

And the quit-button in the web-version is rather useless, don't you think? All it does is make the game unplayable, but still /there/.

I used arrow keys. WASD doesn't work properly for some reason. Took me a while to try and kill myself and I don't quite understand how do I choose places that stay or disappear (after the ending text I assume there's a point to that).
It's not a game, maybe some kind of experience. Visually interesting, this could be better with some kind of explanation.
Also, I didn't see the characters I've seen in your journal being developed. Did I miss something?

Actually, there is a goal: save as much space as possible and the one you like the more... The percentage of saved map has not been implemented, so it's a little difficult to figure it out ... You got the map in game to evaluate your performance. About the menu and mapping, everything has not been well implemented, but we'll do it after the judging month. Thanks a lot for playing and commenting!

Very nice looking 3d world you've got there, but I was confused with how to save parts of the world for the future and didn't understand what the "what a beautiful weather" people were all about. I ended up drowning myself so I didn't have to hear them say it again :)

The colour effects were nice indicating which areas were active at the time and the art style overall was nice but how you achieved the goal seemed unclear to me.

Cool effect. It would be nice if there was a goal... or if the goal was made known.
