HTML5/Canvas. Tested fully on Chrome, somewhat in FF. Sound doesn't seem to work in FF, so that's weird.
Not really finished, but good enough! Control your tiny world of bacteria and nanobots.

Works well on FF (though no sound, as stated).
It's fairly challenging and could probably be replayed many times while still being interesting.
Concept is very good, I really had to think things over during gameplay.
You could add removing wrongly placed towers though.
I kept losing, but on my third try I managed to build a maze that was unsolvable by the AI so they just sat in spawn and let me pick them off. I had almost lost that round too. http://i.imgur.com/7ePjG.png
I like the AI choosing element, although the inability to change it after creation is a little arbitrary.
The difficulty, however, doesn't scale very well. I always leaked the first wave or two with no chance of stopping them, and after that it was spawnkilling central.
Congrats!
Music died after the first wave as well.
