Game didn't seem to work. Character was jumping automatically, as soon as i hit WASD camera goes crazy. Could not plant anything :(

Controls were hardly working, player bounced off the planet uncontrollably. I wasn't able to plant any trees either.

You have to pick up the pine cones before you can plant the trees ;)

Too hard to climb trees D:
Else pretty awesome concept :D

I like the graphics a lot! There should be more levels.

hard to control. Went of flying after planting 2 trees too close together.

I liked the style, and the tree growth was really, really cool. Makes me want to try making some similar organic growth in Unity. Adding some sound effects and giving visual feedback when you take damage would go a long way.

Nice idea, but the control and physics are off the charts.

Wow...that's what I call jumping...

The concept is nice and the graphics too, but the controls are reacting weirdly

Loved it, looks great, brilliant concept, pity the character moved in such a strange way, but still played for 15 mins trying to make strange globe encompassing trees :)

Nice work on the tree-gorowing and the boxy terrain!

So how did you build the planet? Is it multiple random overlapping cubes, as is there a deeper system behind it?

Hey thank you all for commenting :)
I'm still working on the controls and will post a post competition version once they are working.

@matthias_zarzecki: yeah just random points sampled on the surface of the sphere. cubes translated to that position with the surface facing "up" and some random height variation. i just pressed "regenerate" until it looked cool ;)

I liked the idea, but sliding so much after landing makes it abit difficult to stay alive or plant. Very nice graphics, though!

Cool .. collision was a bit shaky, kept getting stuck.

Controls feel very slidy, and jumping is waaaay weird - sometimes I'd make "normal" jumps and other times it felt like I was going to leave orbit!
Populating worlds with giant trees is a pretty good feeling though, if the physics was sorted this would be a whole bag o'fun!

Nice idea, but could use some polish! Oh and also audio.

Heh, nice game. Felt like I was on the moon, I could jump so high :)

the controls were kinda tricky but it was fun to jump like a crazy person plating trees.
Awesome tree growing animation btw :)

Interesting concept. Took me a couple plays to realize that you had to pick up cones before you could plant again. I'd often get stuck between a building and a tree. The growing looked cool. Congrats on the entry. How much time did you get to spend on the entry? I wonder what it would look like if you had more time with it.

It's a bit difficult to play and there are a few glitches (e.g. I got stuck between a wall and a tree I'd just planted at one point). The graphical style is beautiful though!

At first I was kind of lost, but then then once I figured out I just need to move around as quickly as I could I got into it. It's pretty floaty, but once I started working with that, rather than against it I found the fun.

The graphics are nice; I particularly liked watching the trees grow. I got stuck pretty quickly after starting in a crevice somewhere that I couldn't jump out of or move from. I find these first-person games really hard to play without the mouselook being "inverted", so a configuration option for that would have helped me!

Good idea; would be better with a more concrete goal and less 'slippery' controls.
