After getting both the bear and the wolf powers, and killing the few enemies I found on my way, couldn't find what else I was supposed to do and I think that I got to explore the whole map. I guess it could be nice to have a little bit more guidance on what should the player be trying to do next. :)
This is a great game! So ambitious and you guys finished it! Really nice!
And that ending.. Man!
Contrary to sndr I knew exactly where to go. Real good job on the leveldesign!
I wonder why you have so few comments. Hope you get more!
Congratulations!
But overall this was awesome. Loved the artstyle and music (the bull music was awesome). Although it took a long time to get to each point.
On a side note I spend 2 hours designing and coding the final boss' summon and nobody talks about it !
First of all thank you all for the comments, this was my first participation in a game jam and you seem to be a bunch of wonderful people :)
I agree with pretty much all of you. We had a lot of ambition and some things could have been more dynamics and polished (I'm looking at you, combat 么_o) but overall I'm very happy with the final result. I really like the core concept and this mood was really something we were looking for. And we still have tons of ideas that didn't make it to the 72th hour of the contest!
For those who ask if we made all the art, unfortunatly we didn't have a 3D modeler so we used 3D assets from our database and tried to give them a unique look with textures, shading and light effects. Otherwise we would have loved making a 3rd person game with visible transformations!
Anyway thanks again for the kind words! Hope you had a good time traveling in our twisted minds ;)
Oh, and of course, thank you EdoMiyamoto for such a great experiment o/
The music was also a pretty good choice.
I thought the map was a little bit big for the whole game, but this is also impressive feature. Great work, guys!
PS. Hey Edo, I summoned the boss and beat the game :)
@Louspirit like EkoMcCloud said, we used a few 3D models (like the house you see in the beginning) and mod them by making our own textures, shaders, particules and lightning on and around them. Animations took us a long time, that's why after spending 2 hours on the scene with the bear, we simplified everything. Only near the end I took the few hours left to make the boss hovering, along with the lynx behaviour.
For the shadow clipping there wasn't much time left to fix it unfortunately, as unity failed to bake lightmaps, and it was too late to split our 3 terrains into scenes :(
@MementoGames thanks and congrats :)
