Pull by maloki
As a lone pixel that gains consciousness in a user's display, you try to make through the graphical mazes until the end.
Pull is a puzzle game with 28 levels, all solvable. :)
This is my first LD Compo entry. Tried before but ended up with no time to work on it. x.x Didn't have much time for this so had to do this quickly as well. :P
Controls:
Arrow Keys - Move
Space - Grab
R - Reset level
Y - Start over from the first level
M - Toggle Music On/Off
N - Toggle Sound Effects On/Off

I tried to arrange the puzzles according to difficulty after some playtesting, but it's hard to do after doing these puzzles again and again, and the puzzle difficulty seemed to vary from person to person. x.x
I think there's a pretty good difficulty progression overall. Level 27 and 28 are really devious!
Good job with the music. Do I detect iNudge? ;)
The graphics are the weak link and the theme connection is weak at best. The trail on the "pixel" was a very nice touch but without better graphics and plot connection the game seems a bit sterile. There was one point where I felt like a lab rat after a bit of cheese.
A puzzle game is no short feet and this super-simple yet super-innovative entry is terrific overall. Nice job!
Honestly, I feel the same way about the theme in this game. I thought of putting some story into it as the puzzles progressed but they got thrown out the window. x.x
And yup, music was done with iNudge: http://inudge.net/#/h327 :D
+ I've never seen this mechanic before
+ Graphic simplicity
- The music loop was a bit repetitive
- The first 20 or so levels are too easy
- You could have added at least one more mechanic/block type
* Overall, I enjoyed your game. Thank you for a nice puzzle.
