Thanks!
I got the jump boots, axe, ice shield and One artifact; then I died, no restarting/lives was frustrating!
The game is well-designed if crazy punishing, and has a lot of great variety and mystery to the different planetoids! I can't say I like having to redo large sections of the game, but the Permadeath makes any platforming section super tense, and the asteroids especially frightful.
Hopefully I can get to the end later, for now I'm done!

For critique - if I fall off, make me die sooner, and add sound effects, they'd really brighten up the experience.
I had a problem in desert world - missed the chest and jumped down, so I had to die and start over after reading spoiler. And jump pads was not explained in game.
And it was not clear that blocks on nuclear plant would kill me. So i stopped played there.
It's an interesting game, but a bit too hard for my liking.
For a while. After I got the heat shield, the severe punishment involved in jumping down and explore something, only to find there was no way back up, was too much for my patience. Wish you'd just spawn back at your platform. After 4 playthroughs running through the same steps only to die again trying to "see what's down there" I gave up on it.
Still though, love the minecrafty visuals - controls feel great, the metroid-y progression of items is cool, etc. Awesome effort.
v2 does seem to be important. I'm kind of kicking myself as it only took an hour to do and I knew the permadeath was going to be a problem. I had stopped coding at 1am with v0 to give me an hour to upload it, not realising that I could have coded until 2am and LD gave us an hour to upload after that... so I don't feel too bad if people review v2 :)
Then I had to use the spoiler sheet to find artefact #2. Actually, I might have looked more, but I also had a lot of trouble collecting artefact #5 (as per the spoiler sheet) because there's a bug with jumping between worlds. I can't seem to jump between the two worlds through the void, and even with the homeworld positioned so as to fill in the gap, the jump is very glitchy.
Also, it's nice that you enabled respawn, as I'm sure I'd have found permadeath horribly annoying considering I died a few dozen times due to that glitch alone.
There were some pretty well hidden things in there.
