Oh no! Kohikuma the mountain bear has been stung by a lovestruck queen bee and injected with a strange poison that shrunk him down to nearly the size of an ant! Think you can help him find the queen bee back and reverse the effect? ...and get your revenge on the bees for messing with you while you're at it?

This project was done solo, I moved it to Jam because I needed more time to do what i had in mind, plus had some issues with my tools and also was not sure if my arrangement of the "Flight of the Bumblebee" theme was allowed in solo. I am pretty pleased with it, there are some things that could be added or improved but time was running out. I already used a lot of my time for the graphics alone.
! Please extract all the files and folders from the zip archive before playing
otherwise sounds may not play & custom options might not load from the ini file!
There's also different difficulty modes defined in the settings.ini file, but they are untested, they should work fine. Basically they give you more/less lives and change the power of your attacks to make the game more challenging or easy as pie.

Yeah, it was supposed to have a combo system thingy, but didn't quite work as intended, could fix with some adjustments but I barely had anytime for proper testing. :( I also noticed the caterpillars have a bug where they don't do enough damage, I can't change it during the judging, well the bomb pods make up for it though.
Yes, the combo system and the AI was not working as I'd want it to. Actually I realized I let the multiple enemies hit code in after I submitted, oh well...

Thanks, and yeah I agree that after some time it does get boring. Was planning to add other moves, enemies & powerups but you know how it goes, when time is running out, you're just glad you have something done. :)
@JellyFame
Sorry there, I didn't have enough time to convert it in HTML5 as the software I was trying to use "GameMaker HTML5" had showstopper bugs and I relied too much on Windows extensions especially for audio which complicated things.
Bonus points for itty bitty bears.
