Really interesting game - The controls, graphics and music choice were all really good, but while I think you made a good game, the fact that the world is SO big in this game really let it down in some ways. If this had been entered in last year's "alone" theme it would have been spot on - I gave you full points for mood though, because the thought bubbles had me both saddened ("I should call her") and chuckling (i think you can guess which one) within minutes of eachother.

Glad you liked it, thanks for the kind words. As for the size of the world: we wanted a large world that the player only had limited time in, so that a lack of time to fully explore created a "tiny world" unique to the player. Looking back we should have given the player less time to explore, making the experience more compact.

very nice, the world really does feel really big. The visual effect when the color starts overlapping is also very interesting. I was able to endlessly fall off the world near the beginning from some platforms on the right, and there was a place where i couldn't get out of because i couldn't jump high enough and the mushroom didn't propel me high enough either. Overall nice nice mood and interesting take on theme.

I couldn't get the game to run on Windows 7 (64-bit) - got a crash on startup every time. I installed the XNA 4.0 runtime. Any other suggestions?

Kudos for detailed run req tips on page! Windows XNA doesn't work for me tho, so I'm afraid I can't play your game.

Hey vilya. We could not get the game to run when we extracted it using the default windows zip utility. When we used 7-zip to extract the contents of the zip it worked. Not sure why?!? Sorry :(

Sorry XNA does not work for you MadGnomeGamer. I think next time we might go HTML5, maybe even a dash of WebGL for good measure.

I really liked the snapshot mechanic. I feel like more games should employ that personalized end-of-game review.

Amazing graphics (I don't even know where to begin to do this!), the music is beautiful, and the feelings are vividly portrayed in the thought bubbles. However, I couldn't find any game play here other than adventuring around the map. If there was an end, I didn't get to it mostly out of lack of time. Great job!! :)

Very nicely made and and interesting game. Sadly, it did not feel like it applied much to the theme

My situation's the same as vilya. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit with XNA 4 installed, and I get a crash on start up.

Hey everyone. Sorry for all the trouble. We will see what we can do. In the meantime, can someone try to extract the zip with 7-zip and see if that works?

Loved the graphics!
And the music fit so well too, very unique plataformer.
Wish you guys would make a full game out of it.
The only done side is like a lot of people have said before me is that it does no fit the theme very well.
Other then that amazing work :)

Game exe crashes consistently when i try to run it. I did install the XNA 4.0 redist, per the download page's instructions, and ran the game from the folder it was unzipped to, which contained various DLLs bundled in the zip file.

Let me first say that I really dug the watercolor look, style and feel of this game. Everything just felt really tight control wise and it helped me to explore more of the world than I probably would have normally done. I'm not sure that the snapshot effect was done to make a direct impact to me, personally. Still, excellent job!

Interesting graphics. Felt a bit lost as what to do. Awesome control system, felt very fluid

I enjoyed it - got stuck in an area and could do nothing but wait until the end of the world! I didn't mind. Really liked the look and the music was very very good.

Loved this game. Love the art style, the 'story'. However there are some collision errors that made the platforming pretty annoying and if the player stands on certain slanted platforms they will start to rotate at a speed faster then then the framerate leading to skipping. Also I'll note that it would be nice to be able to play it again after the 24 hours and not get the end screen again.

I can't play your game because I don't have Windows. Perhaps another member of my team will find and rate your game.

Really enjoyed playing it. Controls, art style, animations and music all seem to be very polished and complete. Amazing work for a 48h game. I felt lost though and didn't really get the purpose of the game.

Wow, it's hard to believe this was done in 72 hours. The world feels big but it's a delight to explore. One moment that I enjoyed early on is climbing up a long rope into the clouds. The propeller hat while holding jump is really neat. Animation and art style is great.

Looks like only about 24 hours left. Thanks to everyone who has already played our game and left feedback and comments. Sorry to everyone who couldn't play, I think next time we will use flash or unity.

Awesome. The map was huge! Very surreal atmosphere, especially with the background effects and all the clocks scattered about. The 'gameplay' wasn't really fun, but I definitely enjoyed the experience. :)

Somber and moving. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do, but I'm amazed at the technical skill to create the aesthetic and mood. One of the best LD games I've seen.
