You're a black box. You love to travel around world enjoying land. However the world is not big enough. Let's walk as much as possible and score points before this place be filled.
Control: Arrow Keys only.
HowTo: Move to score points, diagonal one will gain lot. Population growth shows interval between arrival of boxes. Box frame act as indicator before real box come.
Note: on applet sometimes you need to reload twice, or it takes long time to load. I made it roughly from desktop one so please don't press exit on applet.

Maybe make the screen area bigger?
Cheers and congratulations!
PS.-To play I had to play a game and refresh the explorer (Chrome, in Firefox didn't work) because the right key to start didn't make anything.

The applet one has small problem. It runs, but on diff browser keyListener doesn't respond. On other case you need to wait looong time before it loads. Thanks for your info.
@schizofunky @MrDanH
Thanks! it encourages me to improve next version. To gain score, you need to move. Diagonal move gains big points.
Thanks! glad to see more people like this simple concept. I admit that it's to hard, color blocks take long time to disappear and you only score on diagonal move. I'll reduce the growth rate and make it easier.
@Rabbits
I love pixelated art so I make this. Yes, when you mashed it sure it did diagonal move, which turn to big gain.
@johnfn
I'll edit this page for some instruction. Thanks for the advice. That growth shows how fast new population will come. So if it shows more than 60%, we're f**ked ;)
Yeah unfortunately :( I couldn't find the root of evil now, need to fix it. However it works well on Firefox. Thanks for coming though.
Acctually fun game, and never ever seen Gameplay-Idea :D like it :)
Althrough it crashes sometimes.
@Monkey Armada: sorry I lack of art skill. need to find someone to fix this ;D
@matheus23: wow awesome, I only score 2k on testing :D
@danblack: yeah but you can't score if you stay still ;)
@thristhart: that's ok. I'll wait for it :) sorry for the trouble.
Ouw that's not good. I hope you want to use the jar version :| thanks for trying.
The only issue I have is that the scoring doesn't make much sense. I think time-based rather than movement-based would be more appropriate.
You really shouldn't award the music. I created it in 20 seconds without sense of art. Yeah I think time is better. I thought it would be fun to force player to move around o.O
Pretty cool for such a simple game. It would be cool if there was also something on the field that you got bonus points for colliding with.
This is one of those games where the idea is original and works really well, so the simple graphics work too. Also, the increase in the generation rate works in increasing the difficulty and increasing the tension.
You could develop this more, add pickups, who knows. Anyway, way to actually produce an original game! I appreciate it.
Oh yeah...procedurally generated music?! Random blippiness works for this game. Cool.
Really glad to hear that. I'll remember your (and others) advice to make a better version. Thank you very much!
