This is both an excellent concept and a great execution of that concept. I think you did a very fine job. One thing that would have set this game over-the-top would have been a music track!

This game is a lot of fun to play (although I think I was far from completing it!) Keep up the good work :)

Got stuck. Didn't have much fun but still it was greatly programmed. I just don't like this kind of game. Personnal taste.

What a fantastic concept. I had a lot of fun playing through it multiple times (I just had to get all 6 friends). I agree with Suese, a music track would have made this even better, but I think you did a great job.

Got stuck, want to know how to continue. Made friends with Maria and then couldn't get any further.

Great work on the theme! I like the dialogues, too. The text could be made a bit more visible - sometimes it's hard to read.

Really cool idea. I played it until I got 6 friends.

Well done for getting such a deep game within such a short amount of time!
Can't imagine how you pulled it off with all the text and story navigation.
Great job

An interesting concept, using social interactions as puzzles. I just can't really get into the game because you have to restart from scratch each time you screw up. I ended up finishing, and it was neat, but it would have been better if you could restart to at least the point where you can start making decisions.

***I'm posting this on all non-browser games I bring up in an attempt to encourage folks to make browser games next time around. Do not take it personally.***

When hundreds of people make non-browser games, that means that, to play all of the entries, I would need to download hundreds of games to my computer. I typically use OS X, so Windows-only entries are particularly inconvenient.

Please consider making a browser game next time.

Well done, especially for 48 hours. I think I got stuck though, I only got 3 friends after having pissed off Maria by buying her wine! She really should have told me what she wanted...

Any chance of a mac version? I'd like to give this a try!

Sorry but, from what i know, Game Maker Standard only creates a windows version :(. There is a HTML5 version, but i don't own it at the moment.
Hopefully this will change when Game maker Studio releases, but until then i can only make windows versions, sorry.

Really good concept, enjoyed the main game mechanic and the script - plus a lot of content for a 48hr game! Questing in the forest was funny :)

I for one would love to play a longer game based around this friendship mechanic, hope you develop it some more.

I really dug the message of small worlds as a result of social isolation, and the whole experience was pretty moving.
Well-executed, finely-tuned. Excellent work.

I enjoyed the concept - and I honestly felt a little excited to get all the friends... :D I enjoyed the humour all throughout - you have a great informal style. Keep up the good work!

The only problem is that you seem to pick the right choice by luck rather than deduction.

Great concept, loved it! It feels too random at times and all the walking around (even though pretty fast) doesn't help too much since the game is basically about testing the option tree - this is made worse by the mandatory tutorial at the beginning. But I do understand those are balancing matters, which are common due to the 48 constraint. This is one of the best games I'm rating so far, and a very interesting interpretation of the theme. Congratulations! :)

Interesting idea, a bit like a choose your own adventure book, but with the disadvantage that you can't rewind when you reach the "you die" page.

No web/Mac version! :( Try to make it for the next LD! :)

I didn't have that much fun, results were not always what I expected and I got stuck rather quickly each time.
One more detail: the text is sometimes hard to read on some backgrounds.
That said, I really like how you treated the theme. The game plays well and replayability is always a great asset ;)

I really liked the art style of the game, even if it is rather simple :-) It would be nice if the dead ends were a bit longer.

Thanks for the game!

Nice innovative concept. Really enjoyed playing it. Screwed up the first time. Got to 3 friends the 2nd time but don't know how to progress further. Couldn't close the application properly either. I had to use the task manager to kill it.

oh no! Maria was a trap!

I liked your game, it was fun. Somehow it was immersive and I liked the dialogs.
