haha, silly. It took me a while to figure out that I was controlling the rings. It also took a while to figure out what the costs actually were. I do like these strange tower defense variations that you are making though, you should keep doing them!

ah, also high score of 25 ships saved, 257 asteroids destroyed.

My highscore is also 25 and 257

I like the concept a lot, but it needs some balancing as it quickly goes out of control. Once you have enough solar panels it's just a matter of how fast you can spam 2 and 3. :)

At 44 ships saved, 1977 asteroids destroyed I had what I thought was an impenetrable defence. I didn't see an asteroid get past but I still died somehow.

Thanks everyone for your kind remarks!

jonbro - I actually didn't originally meant it to be a TD, but it came out that way anyway :)

lean into it man. I really enjoyed pakkuman defense, and now this. Your month for TD! Do another one quick before the magic wears off.

I really enjoyed this one. So much that I had to force myself to quit playing and continue with my game! It's really amazing how you balance games to such addictiveness, just like CQ. Don't wanna be a bootlicker, I really mean it.

This is really good! I needed to play a few times to get a hang of it. It's fun and somehow tactical (up to a certain moment, where you can't see anything apart from aseroids ;)). Nice how you mixed the concepts of RTS and TD games.

Pretty hilarious, honestly. There have been quite a few similar games in LD23, but the inclusion of Carl Sagan had me laughing.

This was pretty addicting and really well done. I think this is one of my favorite games of this Ludum Dare. And hey, we gave our games the same name!

Adorable game! Very simple. The graphics and sound make the perfect mood for a space game. One of the most fun LD23 games I played so far! Thanks for such a nice game. =)

Nice take on tower-defense! It'll take some time to figure out the best way to stay alive as long as possible, although I didn't really understood what the buildings did.

This game is one of the best I've played for gameplay wise! I enjoyed experimenting and learning how to play from trial and error. The game ramps up very quickly! The graphics and audio is simple but suits the design well. Where's the source?

Pretty fun entry! I have to agree with Danik--there seems to be a lull where you can spam solar panels for a bit, followed by laser turrets and factories. I only got 32 / 857, though.
