Reading your post-mortem, it seems that your pre-compo engine does most of the heavy lifting in your game (collisions, inertia, animations, debugging, etc). In that case, you need to release it before the compo starts to be within the rules.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>The game was cool -- I think the spaceship should be a bit smaller - at its current size, it contrasts too much with the other sprites in the screen. Except you made it in 48 hours, congrats!  Isn't technology great?  I think the application of the theme was pretty good.  When I played this game I thought it was a good start and would like to see more, like enemies coming out of the background and into your level instead of popping in.
