Eidolic New World by dkilford

[raw]
made by dkilford for LD23 (COMPO)
My first Ludum Dare entry. It's a top down puzzle game based on the idea that systems of robots act as their own self contained world. The idea has changed a lot since I started but I'm reasonably happy with the entry.

The game uses the 'Apple Kid' font, which is freely distributed, as well as "Decisions" by Kevin MacLeod (http://incompetech.com), royalty free music.

I'm pretty sure music must be created during the competition.

Nice work! Would really have liked to have seen more puzzles, especially ones that required you use the robots to block each other.

@kiswa - considering that you can use wolfram tones (which is a bit more effort, but really not much), i don't see a huge problem if its legal to use...

Interesting game. Reminds me of Rush. Would have liked a Restart level button, and also pressing space after Q generates robots on the black screen with text! The music was fitting, and this could have really been turned into something. Not a bad first entry. Keep it up!

Cool game! Liked the puzzle element, reminiscent of Chu Chu Rocket.. would have liked to see more challenging puzzles.

Good stuff :)

I didn't really got what was going on, the text at the start changed way too fast to understand it :)
I managed to win randomly a few times by mass spawning bots ;)

Nice little puzzle game. Music is awesome, but not part of the compo, so I didn't rate it.
