OFFLOAD by Anupam Coleman

[raw]
made by Anupam Coleman for LD35 (JAM)
OFFLOAD is a pong game quite unlike anything you've ever seen because you could shapeshift! Also it has great colours, they're randomly generated by a program I wasted 4 hours on, but it was certainly worth it!

CONTROLS:
Player 1:
MOVEMENT: W and S
SHAPESHIFT: R
BACK TO NORMAL FORM: T

Player 2:
MOVEMENT: UP ARROW KEY and DOWN ARROW KEY
SHAPESHIFT: P
BACK TO NORMAL FORM: L

To make things interesting, you can't move while in your special form.

Credits:
Music: Snabisch
Everything else: Anupam Coleman

I like this game! I didn't have anyone to play with, so I played by myself and tried to keep it going as long as possible. It's a new twist on Pong! Nice work :)

I wish it has an AI.

And cooldown. If you can't return to short form within x seconds after going to long form, that would add some strategic component. Right now you can go long just before hitting the ball then immediately go short, so it's as if you're playing with long form all the time.

I like the style, music, and that it is multiplayer. It lacks variety in gameplay.

Was a nice game! I played by myself and got pretty far. I liked the transforming and how you couldn't move. Also, the music was awesome.

Didn't have anyone to play with, so I played with myself instead.
Wow, that came out wrong..

Anyway, at least I got the idea =)

The soundtrack is amazing! Do you have a soundcloud acc or something of the sort?
If so, email me a link @ gl4ze96@gmail.com

This is a nice entry and I do love Pong. It’s a good take on an existing game.

@glaze_96 Hey there! I didn't make the music, it was made by somebody called Snabisch.

Nice game. But I missed the player vs ai mode :( I think, the development of the AI cannot be hard. :) Good job!

A little too simple, but I suppose it works. A bit odd that it extends downwards only.

Hey good idea to use an existing concept to make it your own, really nice production.

Try adjusting the embed height, it doesn't fit for me (I get scrollbars). Good job

Good pong clone I like the music and minimalist art work is true to pong. My problems with it are, first sometimes the pong paddles just disappear and I can't make them come back, and there is no ai, so I ended up playing with myself. Good effort.

Nice idea extending a classic, but I think it would be interesting to have more shapes to play with. Anyway, music is great, and congratulations for your random color picker, it's got really good taste :D.

Music is good, needs more shapes and some AI. (Pong AI is really simple BTW, can do it in a couple of lines of code)

Nice pong game! I included it in my video compilation series of Ludum Dare games, if you’d like to check them out :) https://youtu.be/1j0YT8wm6Kc
