Cube God by phyerboss

[raw]
made by phyerboss for LD23 (JAM)
Greetings everybody!

Man, this was 1 heck of joint effort to pull off within 72hrs! This was the 1st LD for the 3 of us. And I must say it was one heck of an experience!

So without further ado. Here's our entry: Cube God!

You are a young and inexperienced god that has to use your elemental powers to construct and sculpt up the land for a race of tiny people called "Tinimen". but the thing is your powers dont always work "on cue". So they come to you randomly. And you are forced to just put things in a spot that you feel they will fit. Hence why it it is labeled a puzzle game. But with sim-like gameplay melded into it.

Right now we didnt get to get in everything we were hoping to. But for now you can at least get a good idea of where we were going. After the compo. We will push further and get the full game completed. But for now...

What is working: earth blocks, water blocks, and fire blocks. earth blocks turn into grass after a while, water dissipates unless completely surounded, and grass is grass. Fire does nothing except for turn all nine touching water blocks to earth

This is a concept I've wanted to see delivered for some time. Would love to play a Mac build.

I liked the bgm in the game, and it was generally quite calming and nice compared to some of the more frenetic games here. A nice change of pace! :)
