Suprisingly fun, however it doesn't really follow the theme with any backstory or mechanics. Successfully wasted 40 minutes on this one. :D

After spending all my money hiring miners, there didn't seem to be much to do and the next upgrades cost so much.

You can use the + and - keys on your numpad to increase and decrease the game speed, so money can rack up quicker so you can get those upgrades

It's nice managing game, but I want more options :D

The sort of thing you want to leave running in the background while you go off and do something else. The ability to hold down + to speed it up feels like cheating. The music is kinda catchy but after a couple of loops it gets annoying. Maybe make a longer version? Also the static could have been removed.
A saving mechanic would be nice, though it's not required.
Graphics perfectly match the style.
Evolution of a business is a nice way to take the theme as well, and kind of original.

I don't have a keypad, so it's kinda slow...

Thanks for the feedback :) The music was the most last minute thing XD Recorded on a rubbish mic with my basic guitar skills. I thought the sound would be annoying, which is why I put a mute button in the bottom left corner ;)

Nicely presented but no link to evolution and there didn't seem to be any balancing required (i.e. increase wages to keep workers happy but that lowers your productivity), this basically means you end up just buying everything. Also the target of 10 million is really really high, I got bored and stopped at about half a million.

waw, this is the kind of game you can't stop to play 'till you see the end. Great job, highly addictive

There are some miners who give a ridiculous amount of production on paper, but in practice don't do much. Also, the calculation of production and profit seems to go very wrong when you speed up the game to 8x or 16x.
But the biggest problem is that after you get all the upgrades, you can kind of leave it running in the background and not do anything with it.

I feel like you've got something there with the event system, but you don't have a way for the player to react to events, apart from the foreman who simply reduces the number of events. In particular, allowing for different ways to react might add some interest to the game. As it is, I simply ignored the events and ploughed through.

What does the 10.000.000 research unlock? :)

I don't like manager games so much but somehow you made this fun and easy to use! :)

If I can suggest something than that would be these two things:
- It's OK that the windows are remembering their place but you shoul have multiple windows.
- It isn't good to make the player let go of the mouse if everything else can be controlled by it. Maybe let the mousewheel handle the speed of time and/or have buttons near the indicator.

So you made me play this with the cubes and I'm not regreting it. ;) Keep up the good work!

This was pretty fun and humorous, you run out of research options kind of quickly though, there could be more both them and different events, and like someone suggested, ability to react to the different events. Overally pretty good game though, nice job.

I felt the same way - the speeding up didn't seem to make the cube count go up faster, and it definitely dropped the monthly earnings. There was a point where I'd make over $1,000 if I ran it at 1x, but at 16 I made like $50. Very fun game though, I stuck with it a long time ;)

The first part is quiet fun, but since I had to wait 7 hours to reach 10,000,000 I decided to stop.
