Space Rig Zeta by AaronLee

[raw]
made by AaronLee for LD24 (JAM)
A game with procedurally built ships. Players collect powerups to evolve their ship, while the enemies select the next wave's ship-build from the most successful of the previous wave's builds, mutating in new random powerups to upgrade the enemies.

It's pretty nice, I took me a while before I figured out that the big green circle was a mini-map though. Also, I can't seem to find any more enemies...
Really nice game though!

Neat game. I've killed the 2 first enemies but then I took the 2 "evolution things" and then a third enemy spawned and I couldn't fire anymore :(
The ship is also very hard to control but I like the way it is made!

the music drove me crazy ;) I loooove how the stars establish the feeling for speed. Navigation was super difficult for me though. When I played the first times, I got lost in the depths of space a few times. Some of the power-ups were really bad in comparison to what I had equipped before :-/ In the end, I really enjoyed this game!

Loved the music. Gameplay/upgrading was neat, the dogfighting could use a tweak or two to acceleration and turning.

The controls are awkward (I hate the intertia in shmups XD ) but the ships designs is nice. The titlescreen is very appealing too!

Not sure what's proper etiquette to reply to feedback, but thank you all for the enthusiastic response!

I'm tweakign the game and will hopefully make a full release sometime, but I appreciate hearing from you guys. I'm keeping the comments about awkward controls in mind. Also msot of the game breaker bugs like losing all of your guns have been fixed. Going to work on wave win conditions so you don't have to kill an enemy that flies way off of the screen if its already unable to maneuver/fight.
