Plague by tastelessnudes
Started way too late, wasted time on stupid stuff and then ran out of time. I really wish I could've finished it. I think there's an interesting game in here somewhere, but it was way too ambitious for LD (let alone my first LD). As it stands it's barely a game: no win conditions, only one item, no sound, no level design to speak of.
You play the only doctor in a city quarantined with the plague. You must try to eradicate it by distributing medicine, or at least survive until it dies out. As the infection spreads from person to person, it evolves. It may become more infectious, it may become more lethal. Each round starts off with the same strain but the evolution is chaotic and unpredictable. This makes the game insanely difficult at times and trivially easy at others. It's a really odd, frustrating game.
Most importantly though, I had fun and learned a lot. I'll probably even keep working on it!

The movement and shooting were a bit laggy and slow, but other than that it was quite fun! I liked how you could keep coming back if you hid long enough :)

The controlls were really annoying and did not feel good at all. If you keep working on those this could turn out to be a fun lil' arcade game.
