Wisdom by Pluwo4

[raw]
made by Pluwo4 for LD24 (COMPO)
A small game I made.
You control someone and his faithful robot, together you are on a quest to collect as many wisdom orbs as you can, you don't eveolve your body, you evolve your mind.
6 Levels.
2 Characters.
5 Minuts.

------------------------------------------

Sadly due to problems in my family I had to stop earlier, probably gonna work on it after Ludum Dare to make it a better and more fun game.
Sending it anyway because I don't want to have wasted all these hours on nothing.

Good idea, needs a lot more polish. Don't give up!

I could not get past level 2, brobot was unwilling to destroy the blocks leading up to the portal for some reason.

Awesome but realy hard game. I think you should bind "wind" to te space button (I've got a problem on level 4 because of that). And I cant understand how can I get wisdom and also complete the level (I guess I need to use wind on both blue square and guy at the same time).
Awesome.

The gameplay isn't really evolution themed, it's kind of a generic puzzle-platformer except you slapped some text on to it at the beginning. I like the mixed keyboard-mouse mechanics, but it's kind of short so the mechanics end up not getting explored that much, especially the Pull and Destroy. Also, the energy meter should be more visible, as I only noticed it in the last level. The engine isn't perfect, but it gets the job done (although it was really annoying to kill myself with the blocks while trying to climb). There were also some problems with your English. Overall it was pretty fun.

The graphics are kind of bad, you should have at least tried not making a square character, and added some simple patterns to the blocks. I guess at least they're functional. Sounds are always nice to have.

I thought it was an okay game. It obviously needs a lot more polish, and the gameplay didn't have much to do with evolution, but the game was still fun for the first couple of levels. Unfortunately I got stuck on the fourth level, as I had no idea how to get to that wisdom.

It's a good start, and remember that you'll get better at game-making with practice.
