Every time your units reach 10 XP, they can choose to level up and get stronger, or evolve into a new unit.  \r\n\r\nThere is no AI, unfortunately.  The enemy units just sort of stand lifeless as you assault them.  I never wrote an AI before so I focused on what I knew during the 48 hour compo, and ran out of time before I could even attempt any AI instructions.  But you can still attack them (or yourself - a true tactics game never disallows you from killing yourself!) to gain XP.\r\n\r\nUnfortunately, I didn't complete data for many of the planned units within the 48 hours, but the game IS \"moddable\" - you can edit data\/Units.xml to add units that will automatically be linked and loaded with the appropriate resources.  Not too hard to figure out if you're actually that motivated.\r\n\r\nThe game is in a very basic state.  This is my first LD and I DEFINITELY overplanned for how long the code took to get going.  Not to mention I had never worked in this library before!  Lots of fun though, and definitely a good learning experience for next time.<\/p>","title":"Evolution Assault"}
