Slime World by Spotlightor Gao

[raw]
made by Spotlightor Gao for LD24 (COMPO)
[Behaviors of slime]
Slimes walk randomly on the map, but if there are food around, it will choose to eat the food(Very smart!).

[Divide for new slimes]
Adult and old slime will divide itself for new slimes if it has eaten enough food.

[Age of Slime]
Baby: Pink(Unable to divide)
Adult: Blue(Able to divide)
Old: White(Able to divde)

[3 types of Evolution]
Wing: Fly on to every kind of tiles(tree, water, deadly lava!)
Tail: Swim fast on water tile, slow on plain tile.
Horns: Eat other slimes if they are hungry. It also needs more food to grow up.

[Evolution! How to?]
Each time slimes divide itself, each type of evolution has 10% chance to appear on the child.
Every time slime eat a special food(blue, green, red), it gains additional 30% chance for the corresponding evolution type.

[Player Control]
As the god of slimes, you can click on the tile to place food, change tile type or summon lightning to destroy everything!

The game includes 4 levels with different types of challenge and rising difficulty. Hope you enjoy it!

IMO, with a little polish and more levels, this would make a wonderful mobile game.

Very nice looking. I didn't find the challenges particularly difficult though.

The best graphics I've seen so far. More levels would be nice, but I think there is a great foundation to take forward if you want.

With a resource manager, in-game currency and more levels it would be a perfect casual mobile game. Great entry man you should keep developing it.

BenW: I haven't got engouth time to test those levels. The lv1-3 are designed to show the basic mechanics of the game, and I think the last level should be the most challenging one. More adjustments are needed.

I enjoyed these nearly perfect graphics. I tried this third level(keep one slime alive) three times and then I gave up :(. Level takes unnecessarly long time to load. Theme is used nicely. Gameplay could be improved, but I don't know how. Maybe it was too simple?

Super pretty graphics. The game seems interesting but I feel like I have very little control on what's happening/

Really polished for a 48 hour game. With a bit more of a ramp-up of difficulty in the early levels, this could work really well on touch devices.

I wish you had left off the screen cap of the LD 24 stage. That would have been a nice surprise. Great game!
