Roomless Things by FaceSquid

[raw]
made by FaceSquid for LD24 (JAM)
I did not want to create something that first comes to mind when thinking about "Evolution". So made a very short game about change and observation of a room. Lets see if you can figure-out its secret.

You can move around with your WASD-keys and left click on items.

Sadly the game itself never reached what I hoped it would become (wanted to have this for the 48 hour comp, but had could not find the time i needed), but will therefore continue to work on this later on.

I figured out what item you were looking for, but didn't seem to win/be getting points/anything for picking them so it wasn't that enjoyable. But the concept was interesting and I could see it being developed further. :)

You had nice graphics and that epic monkey picture some redditor's friend bought on Ebay when he was drunk.
Everything else did not interest me as a player, I quitted after looking at four different furniture set-ups for this room.

Well, the game does not have a end per-say, it just develops too a point where you can continue in one way or the other, there is never a official "game-over". Still, really happy for the comments I got and that at least you might have fond the game somewhat interesting

Also @free_napalm: great eye for the monkey painting! actually got the permission to use it as well. You can never get to careful when using others stuff.

Wonderful! I love the aesthetics. I didn't understand what to do which intrigued me. I eventually got stuck in a top corner of the room and then ejected into black! I would like to play what you had, as you say, hoped for.

every time i clicked an object in the room i would rise up a bit until i went through the roof and the screen just stayed black. otherwise interesting concept, definitely needs to be fleshed out more.
