Warning code x24: Intruder may have self-modified
>

You play as a hacker, launching a new self-modifying virus on the corporate network. Control the virus through different servers. Destroy the anti-malware programs that come after you and absorb their code to create new attack vectors.

Controls:
Mouse - scan surroundings and target applications
WASD - move virus
Left mouse button - fire
Right mouse, Q, E - change application schema, configured at hyperlink terminals
Escape - set breakpoint
Partial controller support (360 compatible)

Changing schema allows your code to bypass or more effectively target certain anti-malware executables. Changes will be quickly detected and will reset automatically. The change is represented visually in your terminal.
Visual schema:
Triangle - normal
Circle - provides redundant code as a decoy to absorb possible counter measures
Arrow - high performance, zero detection rate, but runs to completion quickly
Square - imprecise, but wide code coverage
Curve - limited read-ahead, but attacks with many different vectors
Funnel - precision heap corruption

Some anti-virus software is more advanced, and contains large threat dictionaries. Core vulnerabilities of these programs will be highlighted yellow or purple.

I love the retro Asteroids vibe you have going, and the gameplay with the upgrade system is solid. Good work!

Great game! Awesome controls and the concept was very innovative. It was a bit challenging, but really fun to play. The whole coding situation was on point lol I really feel it.

I love how you really stuck to the theme here-- everything reinforces that command prompt/asteroids feel. Sorta like mega man meets asteroids. Maybe worth exploring more. Just wish it was a little harder when the large bodies of shapes (who I'm assuming are supposed to be like bosses) show up. In fact, the individual baddies are harder. Also really dig the almost bon-fire like system you have for shifting into other shapes. However, I wish controller support was better because even though I had the ability to equip new shapes it was difficult to switch between them using anything other than right click.

Still, solid entry-- maybe worth exploring further.

Awesome graphic style!
The concept was fitting the theme nicely, controls were tight (but switching with the keys was problematic on areas crowded with bullets) and the upgrades system was very interesting.
