"Deal with It" Is a impossible platform mini-game that has a bit of humor. If you like the impossible platform games you may taste this game :)

One of the impossibilities is that when you die too much times there appears a black blood that don't let you to see where are you going. So try to don't die too many times!

The history of two brothers that hates himself.

CONTROLS ARE:
ARROW KEYS - MOVE & JUMP.
SPACE - NEXT CONVERSATION.
R - Respawn the character (use this if you get stuck).
M - MUTE THE GAME MUSIC.

This was the first time that I created music for a game. So be sure to don't listen to the music because it feels horrible! : [

- What I used to make this game -
Construct2 (2d Engine that uses JavaScript as programming language - has a free edition. I used the paid edition).
Photoshop (for the graphics).
Sunvox (for this horrible music and sounds \o/).

@MarekkPie What explorer are you using? There is some bugs coming from Chrome for Linux. And in what moment was the character disappeared?

For me I hit the ground in the first level after jumping and the character disappeared, I'm using chrome for windows.

@kevincorrigan I've set a new key "R" to Respawn the character like normally, so if you get stuck or the character disappears, just press R :)

I thought the intro was humorous but the first level is simply too hard. The main problem is there doesn't appear to be any soft jumping. You either are not jumping or you're jumping the maximum height. At the same time I found it very difficult to move while in the air. All of this combines to make it seemingly impossible (at least for me) to clear the level. I think simply adding the ability to soft jump (as is typically seen in platformers) would make a huge difference. Other than that, I thought the art style had a nice vibe -- though a bit too similar to Super Meat Boy -- and the music was charming.

Way too hard. You almost can't control the character when in the air, so most jumps are really hard to make.

Very very funny, but also very very hard!
Loved the not play option on the title screen and the opening cutscene.

Gave up on beating the first level after only a few tries. I'm sure I could beat it, but it was very frustrating.

Hey man, cool level design, unfortunately i had too hard of a time getting past the first two jumps lol, lookin forward to checkin out your source tho, i think if maybe you scaled the viewpoint down so you could see a smaller piece of the level, it would give the level a bit more of a sense of depth,

IDK About the rest of you, but I died the most on the second level, mostly from holding left arrow when I respawn...

I was able to make it to level 3. The first level was overly difficult because the controls felt loose. I think it is maybe the player acceleration that felt off.

There are a lot of grammatical errors in the text.

Funny intro, but I couldn't proceed in the actual game basically at all, kept dying on the third jump so just gave up.

@gamblore Yup I modified the player acceleration after the third level :) To make it more easy. And about the grammatical errors in the text, I know. The reason of why there are these grammatical errors is because the English is not my native language, so I don't dominate it at all :P

Poor level design, and i don't just mean difficult. There's no "scaling" of difficulty, and often the levels depend on really cheap tactics to make a level really hard. I'm also pretty upset because I forced myself to play through this game just so I could give a rating only to get stuck on the last boss because of a glitch: http://imgur.com/Ytm0n can't move. :(

I really liked the innovation with showing the places you have died. I was enjoying the game for a few minutes, but I fell through the floor and that broke the game. :(

I got to the third level, but it was really difficult. Half of the problem was intended difficulty, the other half was because my character repeatedly froze in midair for fractions of second and glitched through blocks. Good idea though, and I love impossible games.

I don't like these kind of games, but having seen many of them, I can tell this is of a good quality. loved the dialogs and the humor!

I'm not sure what it has to do with evolution, maybe it has at the end. But I'm not gonna finish this game, sure as hell :D

The game was challenging, yet not too hard. Graphics were nice and clean, but the controls were a bit unusual, they worked pretty good in conjuntion with the levels though.

Very hard. The collisions glitched for me, so I fell through the floor a few times.

Graphics and Sound vere pretty good, and the plot was funny.

Mabye you should include clicking with the mouse in the controls? It was not obvious that I had to click to start and I thought the game was glitching.

The evolution in this game is how the main character (the creature you move) is evolutioning each 3 levels. Starting with no legs, no arms and a small size and ending with legs, arms and a big size.

I really didn't like the blatant references to internet memes, I personally felt that it cheapened the game.

The game itself is alright though, a decent classic plat former with some difficulty to challenge the player.

This game is really hard... and that's coming from a die hard Super Meat Boy player. :) It's fun though. I really like the particle effects you use to show where the player died, and the humor in the game. I do wish that you could control your jump height, I think the controls would feel a lot more natural that way.

Well, I'm up to 64 deaths in Level 2, I have to give up, sorry. The screenshot for the boss looks cool, wish I could have seen it. The jump physics is pretty buggy and the difficulty is way too hard, but otherwise a great game! I thought leaving the death markers was kind of annoying at first, but after I'd died 10 times it was kind of cool to look back and see where.

Cool game, reminds me of Super Meat Boy. Nice style on the pixel graphics. Game definitly was hard - I though the controls made it tough. I think arrows to move + space to jump would be easier to control. Nice work! ;)

I thought the intro was a little annoying, but a cheap way to get more gameplay in a short amount of time (that's a compliment!). The platform parts were pretty fun, but the controls could be a bit more responsive. I gave up half way through the second level after finally making it to the top of the ladder and then dying. Hard isn't exactly the right word--I knew exactly what to do, but the responsiveness made it harder than it needed to be. Impressive for 48 hours, though!

People do tell me I made hard games. But this is harder than any ludum game I played. I particularly like the sticky death animation, but there is some small level design issues. Nice game overall.

Is it normal to have so much black squirting on the screen that I can't see the level anymore? Great job. I wish the guy was a little bigger and I wish I was better at video games.

I think you have a collision glitch that let me go through the floor.

mario style jumps (height of the jumps are determined by how long you push the jump key) would have improved the controls a lot

apart from that, a solid little game - very challanging without becoming frustrating

I loved it, and I finished it (with something like 300 deaths ;))Great idea not to let the blood dissapear, bot to show you how often you died already. And indeed it hides some of the geometry if you die too often :) Good Job!

Wow, really hard game. I wish there were checkpoints. Could not complete the 1st level (next time maybe make the progression from easy to hard more gradual - to pull the user in.)

Not bad. I agreed with others at first that the mid-air control was very annoying, but if you get use to it you can exploit it to good effect.

Also, I agree that the difficulty ramp-up could be tweaked. I thought that levels 3 and 5 were (don't shoot me) way too easy. I did level 5 in three tries.

I got to level 2 before giving up. Super hard. Died about 50 times. Really well made game though. Controls are tight and do what you want, which is basically all you can ask for from a platformer.

I'm experiencing visual lag spikes every 10 seconds or so. During this time frame seems to be when the character disappears or will sometimes allow the character to jump significantly higher.

First, thanks for all the comments! This has been a full work weekend and for sure your comments are making feel me really satisfied, completed, happy!

I really SORRY for all the people that are having problems playing but I don't know what is happening in other browsers that are not Chrome... A little percent of people have the problem of crossing the platforms.. but I need to see the bug to fix it and I really tested but nothing happens.. for me the game runs fine.

So I will continue working on bug fixes but I don't promise anything :(

The horizontal acceleration is a bit odd. I found the last three levels easier than the first ones, but may be I get used to the controls.

I do like the meat-boy effect seeing where you died the previous attempts but I think the level design needs help. First level feels more like a medium-hard scale level - should have introduced easier levels first maybe

So.. what can I say.

Ludum Dare 24th is over and I really give all my THANKS to all who gived a chance to my little game. For the second time I think the things have gone a lot better than the first time (a total fail, yeah).

So really thanks for playing and for commenting. I'm thinking to do an extended-free of important bugs-more cool at any time of this year. I'm working in an other project now but I promise that I will make a remake of this game when I acquire more experience.

As I see my poor rating is on the Theme rating. But yeah I will not say this is wrong because I haven't any idea at the beginning :)

Really really reeeeeeeeally thanks to all the comments and all who played my game and I hope to see you in another Ludum Dare edition!
