made by Felipe Budinich for LD24 (JAM)
Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone had a blast during this Ludum Dare, despite it was a tough for me to finish the game on time for the Jam, because i had so much stuff going on during the weekend, I did have a lot of fun (our kickstarter campaign on one hand: http://kck.st/MjgYVk , and a presentation we gave on tandem with Ace Team on the other hand: http://on.fb.me/PWKzE5 )

About the Game:
You play as a all seeing entity that watches over planets as they evolve from a lifeless mass of gas to a green planet full of life.

You've got to use your resources wisely in order get rid of asteroids that threaten the process.

About the source:
You'll need a copy of impact.js in order to use it.

This is perhaps the slowest paced game I've played in years, but that's fine because it was an almost hypnotic experience. The part I didn't like was that after one planet evolves life you win. I felt like I didn't get to live up to my potential, I wanted many planets! Also, there are far too few asteroids and the lack of choice is suffocating. I want to be able to invest my points as I please, be it in evolving a planet or attacking an asteroid. I think there is a really fun game here, but you need to get back in there and keep going with it!

Yes I'm gonna definately try to do something with this idea, I just spent too much time struggling with a mechanism to count laps around the planet.

Also, this is going to need a button with 2X 4X and 8X speed :)

(and new music, this time I had to settle with autotracker, because I had too little time).

I think of this as my new Escaparazzi, something original that I'll be able to polish and take it somewhere.

I found the game a bit slow at the beginning for my tastes, but it gets interesting after things speed up.

Cake&Code hit the nail on the head. The game sucked me in even though it was slow. The concept is solid. You just need more speed and another objective.

Great music.

It's a bit too slow and simple in it's current form, you just watch slowly moving starts till one of them turns green and you get message that you win. I was pretty surprised about that. what, that's it? Perhaps it needs more objectives to keep it interesting.
