Chamane by Spotline

[raw]
made by Spotline for LD35 (JAM)
Use your drum (SPACE) to perform 3 shapeshift rituals and become a true SHAMAN
Move with WASD.

Become the INSECT, become the FISH, become the SPARROW
Each of the three rituals has three steps

-Finding the stone
-Finding the pace
-Playing the rhythm

Let the drum be your guide !

EDIT : a lot of people were kinda lost so more precisions : when you find the stone you must play the drum with the right pace, then the stone starts playing rhythms and you must reproduce them with your drum. There will be several rhythms to play and if you get them right long enough, there will be a big change and you will be ready for the next ritual :)

Cool game. I bet you really like Proteus. So do I. Not a lot of shape shifting but otherwise rad.

You've set a great mood.
The visual is nice and the sound is cool!
The rythm gameplay is interesting too.

This was a very calming and fun experience. I really liked the holistic reaction of the surroundings to the actions of the player. Nice visual style and execution. Excellent.

Froze time, fell through the still ocean, looked into a tree and saw the other world. Had little idea if i was doing well, but mashing the spacebar seemed to trigger the rhythm section so i did manage to complete the rituals. Super surreal experience, technically and thematically impressive. Great work!

Really nice. Thanks. At the blue stone I seemed to turn in to some kind of crab like thing and got a bit freaked out - that's when I could tell it was getting to me.

I liked its relaxing mood. Didn't understand the game much, though. I didn't understand in what rhytm I was supposed to play.

Cool game. I liked all the work put into the graphics. I had a bit of trouble trying to figure out what I was meant to do with the stone but other then that the game was fun. Good job.

Haha, I recon there's a lack of feedbacks to understand properly.. You were on the right track though, you just have to keep playing the rhythms of the orange stone, if they change it means you got them right. After a few rhythms there will be the shapeshift !

Not sure if the graphics were meant to go (that) weird but the sky kept appearing through the trees. It was kinda trippy cool. Really like the idea

very innovative. I couldn't quite figure how how to use ryhthm to change exactly but it was calming and trippy. Very trippy. Nice graphics.

Absolutely amazing. Having a clearer idea at the beginning as to what to do may have helped, but I got it eventually, and what an experience that was.
Audio engineering was probably the most impressive I've seen in an LD game in a long time, and indeed even more impressive than many other games outside of LD.
Graphical style was beautiful, reminiscent of Proteus, but the changes in the game as you progressed brought out it's beauty ever so much more.
Really, really impressive.

My God, this game is so beautiful. More people need to play this. How did you do those stunning graphical effects?

I've played hundreds of Ludum Dare games and this is the most beautiful one i have ever seen. Really good job
