Kitten Evolution by triplefox
Graduate from kitten, to housecat, to lion, and then to tiger!
I actually made this for a 1-hour jam several months ago. Since I'm on a trip right now I don't really have the time to do my usual "deep" LD entries, so I figured I would re-release this one.
For good audio run in DOSBox.

Btw, it seemed like the game told me I'd found a secret passage or something in one of the plants. Was that just my mind playing tricks on me, or how can I access it?
Also, I found a bug. In the "housecat" stage, if you try to go through the door without knocking down the plants it says you need to "catch the butterflies".
In the end, it's a good game but you should refrain from posting random games you made as Ludum Dare entries. There's already a huge amount of entries that need attention and players, so don't clog up the tubes in the future. It simply isn't the place.
Meanwhile, I'm looking VERY HARD to find something relating to evolution. While I found the texts saying "you are a kitten" to "you are a tiger", I find that rather effortless.
Just to clear things out, I do like to see ZZT levels, but the levels needs to be A LOT more unique.
Anyhow...
Seeing as virtually nobody can be bothered rating this because they're all a bunch of pussies (no pun intented) who don't know how to use DOSBox, I have to rate this.
Innovationwise... it's not a stock standard genre so this gets something.
Fun... I played it to the end.
Theme... yes, you evolve!
Graphics... I suggest learning how to make doors. Or just use Kevedit's object library for that. With that said, this was 100% yellow-border free and wasn't too grating on the eyes so you get more than 1 star.
Audio gets a 1 star for being all the default ZZT sounds. Seriously, these are horrible. (Personally if I did an LD in ZZT I'd probably get this too.)
Humourous. Not amazingly, but it was alright.
Mood was pretty flat.
Overall, not completely crap.
